On time and within budget: Re-Match orders factory line for Dutch recycling plant
Company announcement 6/2022 – THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONTAINS INSIDE INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF ARTICLE 7 OF THE MARKET ABUSE REGULATION (EU) 596/2014.
Herning, Denmark, 31 January 2022 – Re-Match Holding A/S (“Re-Match” or the “Company”), a pioneer within sustainable recycling of artificial turf, has placed the order for the machines which will be installed at its new factory in Tiel, the Netherlands. This is in line with the strategy and budget outlined in the recent IPO and represents the blueprint for the next five planned factories.
In preparation for establishing its first factory outside Denmark, Re-Match has now placed an order for machinery at more than 8 million EUR with the same manufacturers that supplied the equipment for the factory in Herning. This state-of-the-art factory line will be designed to provide true recycling of approx. 55,000 tonnes of artificial turf annually – equivalent to saving around 200 million plastic bags. The new line – which will be put into operation at the company’s new factory in Tiel – also represents the blueprint machine setup for the next five factories already planned.
“As our 2021 record output in the Herning factory showed, we have learned a lot from five years of operation in Herning – and these learnings have been implemented in the new machine setup,” says Jesper Skov, Plant Manager at Re-Match in Herning. “So other than delivering more than twice the capacity of the Danish factory, we are optimizing the operational setup so that we will have a higher level of flexibility in the factory line and even better product separation.”
Meanwhile, the factory in Tiel is taking shape and the construction of the 8,800 sqm recycling factory goes to plan. Also, despite inflation and increasing steel prices, Re-Match has succeeded in keeping within the strategy and budget stated in its recent IPO-prospectus.
“We are very pleased that fruitful negotiations with our suppliers, along with our team’s hard work on further optimisation, has enabled us to stay on target with regards to the cost of the new factory line,” says Nikolaj Magne Larsen, CEO of Re-Match. “We also expect to take delivery of it on time – so that the new factory in Tiel can become operational at the end of this year – all according to plan.”
