Re-Match welcomes new Group CEO
The Board of Re-Match and CEO Christian Ørum have decided that the company has reached a point where it is right to welcome a new CEO. Christian has since he joined worked tirelessly on growing Re-Match into a state-of-the-art circular company, recycling synthetic turf into valuable raw materials. Achievements include starting and scaling-up recycling of turfs in both Holland and France, while strengthening the existing activities in Denmark, as well as developing several commercial partnerships with parties interested in using the recycled raw materials.
With the increased importance of Re-Match’s central-European activities and the need for strengthening of the management there, Christian will now pass on the baton to Mr. Coen Rooijmans. Coen will take responsibility as CEO as of September 9th.
The board and shareholders of Re-Match thanks Christian for his efforts and warmly welcomes Coen to the company.
About Coen Rooijmans
After studying Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft, Coen started his career at Philips (Logistics, Marketing, Sales), and later moved into Bosch Security Systems & Bosch Transmissions where he ran a post-merger integration process and held several GM roles. In his last role at Bosch, he ran the P/L of a Transmission business with manufacturing sites in Vietnam and the Netherlands and turnover of EUR 500 million. In 2015, Coen decided to pursue a career as CEO in SME companies ranging from EUR 1 million turnover to EUR 200 million. In the last 9 years, he took on CEO roles with Private Equity, strategic and private investors (DNV) to grow and divest businesses.

Re-Match, founded in 2013 in Denmark, is a pioneer in material recovery of artificial turf pitches. Re-Match has factories in Denmark (Herning), in the Netherlands (Tiel), and in France (Erstein). Soon, Re-Match will have recycled more than a quarter of a million tonnes of waste turning it into valuable raw materials. These raw materials are being used in a variety of applications spanning from industrial, to construction, to the production of new synthetic turf.
